The dance program at IS349 is a comprehensive introduction to dance as a performance art. Students learn various dance techniques, explore choreography, and learn how to critique dance works. Students are given performance opportunities such as annual talent shows and special events. Students who are interested in a more intensive dance program may audition for the IS349 Dance Company, a select performance group. The IS349 Dance company has performed at events including District 32 celebrations, CEC council meetings, and guest performances at local venues.
